New ‘Complete’ Trade Composite Door Offer From Permadoor
Published: 7th December 2009
Permadoor, the composite door specialist, has launched a new dedicated composite door trade offer, bringing a new quality product range and more flexible service to the burgeoning retail, commercial and new build composite door markets. Developed specifically for trade fabricators, the new service offers a rapid turnaround without compromise on quality or service bringing a higher quality product offer to the retail market. The specially selected new Visions range has also been designed to support fabricators in breaking into the new build and social sectors. The service and product offer across sectors is also underpinned by Permadoor’s extensive sector experience – some 20 years as a specialist supplier of composite doors.
Adrian Wyatt, sales director, Permadoor said: “Composite doors are enjoying new appeal across sectors. In retail and new build they add kerb appeal, in the social sector they have considerable appeal because low maintenance and durable, they significantly cut maintenance costs. “We’re now offering those fabricators who don’t want to manufacture GRP doors in-house and those who want a no-nonsense composite door offer, access to a dedicated new service and quality product. “This last point is important because fabricators don’t want to receive call-backs in the current economic climate or even a forgiving one.”
The composite door market has enjoyed consistent and rapidly increasing growth since 2002 overtaking PVC-U panels according to the latest market research for the first time in 2007. Figures released in the Window Profile Industry Report 2007/08 by D&G Consulting suggest that while 717,000 PVC-U panels were supplied in 2007, composite doors pipped ahead at 730,000 installations. The research company’s findings project continued growth for composite doors in 2010, 2011 and 2012 to 800,000, 860,000 and 900,000 units respectively.
Available in a choice of white, green, black, blue, red, and Golden Elm and Rich Chestnut woodgrain finishes, the Visions range is also available in a choice of six styles. Composite doors from Permadoor come with a number of innovations as standard. This includes through colour cassettes, which stand up to weathering better than traditional cassettes to everyday wear and tear. All Permadoor doors also come with quality hardware and a choice of chrome, black, white and gold door furniture and a high security multi-point locking system.
Adrian continued: “The figures speak for themselves. Composite doors are a great sales platform, not least because they can be sold as part of a wider window and door replacement programme or as a more affordable stand alone purchase. We have spent time developing a small but carefully developed range of products with emphasis placed very much on quality of product, that will give both fabricators and installers a strong foundation in the retail market but which can also support them in entering new sectors and areas of opportunity.”
